For the first time, the congress is being held after Azerbaijan has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the 8th congress of the "New Azerbaijan" party.

Recalling that the 7th congress was held under completely new conditions at that time, the head of state noted: "After all, only a few months had passed since our glorious victory, and the whole world was talking about it. Azerbaijan independently and single-handedly not only put an end to the occupation but also shaped new realities in the region. Since then - since our victory in the second Karabakh war - these realities have been recognized by the entire international community."
