Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned the country's citizens who are in Iran

Due to the escalating security situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, citizens of Azerbaijan are advised to refrain from traveling to the country. Those already on Iranian territory are advised to leave the country through Azerbaijan or Turkey, depending on their location.

This is stated in a travel warning issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Citizens are advised to observe safety measures, avoid large gatherings of people, follow the instructions of local authorities, and regularly monitor official sources of information.

As a reminder, earlier Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the country's Defense Forces had launched a preemptive strike against Iran. The operation was named "Lion's Roar." Both countries closed their airspace. Later, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States was also participating in the military operation against Iran.
