On March 2, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the foreign policy agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during the conversation, the current military-political situation and the growing tensions in the Middle East region were discussed.

The parties, noting the inadmissibility of further deterioration of the regional situation, emphasized the importance of resolving existing disagreements through dialogue and diplomacy in accordance with the norms and principles of international law.

The ministers stated the importance of ensuring the safety of the civilian population and preventing the worsening of the humanitarian situation, and drew attention to the need to intensify international efforts toward establishing stability and security in the region.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place.
