Azerbaijan - Central Asia: from "5+1" to a unified "6"
Last Sunday, the 7th consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, to which President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was invited for the third consecutive time.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in the new issue of the Caliber.Az YouTube channel.
"We would like to remind you that the head of the Azerbaijani state first participated in the meeting of Central Asian leaders two years ago, when he was invited by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. And a year later, at the invitation of his Kazakh colleague Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, he participated for the second time in the work of this regional format. The current participation has not just changed the statistics, but has become significant and qualitatively different. In essence, from this year, a new count of Azerbaijan's participation in the work of this structure begins, now in a completely different capacity. Azerbaijan is joining the consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states not as a guest or observer, but as a full-fledged participant," the material states.
