In recent days, Armenian media have been spreading information that Russian citizen Zakhireddin Ibragimov was detained as a result of investigative activities by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan and delivered to Baku.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, Zakhireddin Ibragimov, presented as the chairman of the committee for the protection of ethnic minorities' rights in Azerbaijan, lived in Yekaterinburg and for many years participated in propaganda events organized in the capital of Armenia, making anti-Azerbaijani statements.

From 2005 to 2020, he repeatedly took part in so-called conferences in Armenia, where he voiced false accusations against Azerbaijan and made biased statements. Ibragimov also carried out assignments from Armenian structures aimed at inciting separatism in Azerbaijan.

Earlier, lawyer Sayyara Aliyeva confirmed that her client was indeed placed in the SSS detention center. According to her, during the interrogation, Ibragimov admitted having connections with Armenia and gave testimony on a number of other issues.

Details of the special operation to deliver Russian citizen Zakhireddin Ibragimov to Azerbaijan have not yet been disclosed. However, it is known that he is being held in the SSS detention center along with Ruben Vardanyan and Araik Arutyunyan and will be held accountable for crimes directed against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

In the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, declared in Azerbaijan in 2025, the detention and delivery of Ibragimov to the country is a clear signal to all who dare to conduct activities undermining the constitutional order and territorial sovereignty of the state.

The editorial office has sent a request to the SSS press service regarding this issue. The topic remains in the spotlight.
