A sentence has been handed down for the deputy of Suleyman Mikailov, who held this position for 10 years
The judicial investigation in the criminal case of former deputy head of the Executive Authority of Garadagh district Nadir Muradov has concluded.
As reported by Qafqazinfo, the verdict was announced at the final hearing in the Garadagh District Court.
Presiding Judge Shafa Dadasheva concluded that the charges brought against the defendant under Article 312-1.1 (illegal influence on a decision of an official - trading in influence) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan were fully confirmed during the trial by the evidence base and witness testimonies.
By the court's decision, Nadir Muradov was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months of imprisonment. Taking into account the time spent in custody since August of last year, the remaining unserved term of the sentence is 6 months.
It should be noted that in November of last year, the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General conducted a special operation at the Executive Authority of Garadagh district. As a result, several officials were detained, including Nadir Muradov, who had held the position of first deputy head of the district for 10 years. Shortly after, the head of the district's Executive Authority, Suleyman Mikayilov, was also dismissed from his position.
