At the initiative of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and the head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva, a mini-football tournament "Friendship Cup" was held among teams of boys and girls aged 10 to 12 and 13 to 15 years old who are being raised in orphanages.

As reported by BAKU.WS, it was organized to support the physical and psychological development of children, strengthen their team spirit, self-confidence, and social skills.

Teams from orphanages No. 1, 2, and 3, operating under the Social Services Agency, participated in the competitions organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.

The matches were characterized by a high sporting spirit and an atmosphere of friendship, with genuine joy felt by both the participants and spectators.

One of the most memorable moments of the tournament was the personal participation of Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, who watched the matches, supported all teams, sincerely communicated with the children, and took photos with them. They wished the participants success and emphasized the importance of holding similar events on an even larger scale in the future.

Winners in both age categories were awarded diplomas, medals, and the Cup. Teams that took second and third places received medals and diplomas.

It should be noted that the main purpose of the "Friendship Cup" mini-football tournament is not only to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among orphanage residents but also to support their integration into society and create conditions for new acquaintances and friendships.

At the end of the event, the children, caregivers, and organizers noted the positive impact of such initiatives on their lives and expressed their wish for such social and sports projects to become regular.
