Why has the export of cars from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased? - VIDEO
Car exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan have dropped sharply. Azerbaijani buyers, who previously actively turned to the Georgian car market, no longer show the same interest in it.
So what is the reason?
As transport expert Eyyub Aliyev told Baku TV, over the past 7-8 years, Azerbaijani citizens have increasingly turned to the markets of the USA, South Korea, and Japan instead of the Georgian one.
"Ordering a car online from countries such as the USA, South Korea, and Japan is cheaper than traveling to Georgia and bringing a car from there. Especially after the pandemic, the closure of land borders completely destroyed this logistics chain, which had already begun to weaken before 2020. Now people can bring cars from the listed countries much more conveniently," the expert noted.
