Rovshan Najaf: Azerbaijan will increase gas production and expand supplies to partners

Azerbaijan intends to increase gas production and expand its supplies to partner countries, maintaining its course toward ensuring reliable and sustainable energy supply in the region.

As Report informs, this was stated by the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf during a panel discussion at the Baku Energy Week.

According to him, Azerbaijan's key priority remains ensuring sustainable and reliable energy supplies to its consumers in the region, as well as contributing to the strengthening of regional energy security.

"The company's core philosophy is to ensure reliable supplies, and this approach has not changed and will not change in the future. Compared to last year, the geography of Azerbaijani gas exports has expanded significantly. Today, the supply destinations include not only Europe, Georgia, and Turkey, but also Syria," noted Rovshan Najaf.

The head of SOCAR emphasized that partners are interested in purchasing larger volumes of gas and that under current conditions, Azerbaijani gas is considered one of the most reliable energy sources in the region.
