Azerbaijan sharply reduced car imports from Georgia
Georgia exported 919 automobiles worth $29.9 million to Azerbaijan in January-March 2026.
According to Report's calculations based on data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia, this is 41% less in value terms and 53% less in quantitative terms compared to the figures for the same period of 2025.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranked 3rd in value terms among the countries to which Georgia exports automobiles.
In the first 3 months of this year, Georgia shipped 14,237 automobiles worth $364.5 million to foreign countries, which is 27% and 30% less, respectively, compared to the figures a year earlier.
During the reporting period, 4,459 automobiles worth $183.6 million were shipped from Georgia to Kyrgyzstan, 5,422 automobiles worth $85.9 million to Kazakhstan, 1,250 automobiles worth $20.2 million to Tajikistan, and 596 automobiles worth $13.75 million to Armenia.
