For what reason did actor Jahangir Novruzov leave the country?

A new episode of the Qapqara program aired on Baku TV.

This time, the guest of the show was People's Artist, theater and film actor Jahangir Novruzov.

According to him, the most "innocent lie" in the world exists precisely in the theater.

"Because theater is a temple where lies serve the truth. If during a performance we can deceive the audience, if we manage to lie flawlessly, they remain so satisfied that after the show they wait for you at the back entrance to personally shake your hand. This is the highest form of innocence. I try to convey this to my students as well. Theater is the art of storytelling. If theater is a temple where lies serve the truth, then the stage is the altar on which lies are sacrificed," noted the artist.

He also recalled an incident when he did not allow his mother, legendary actress Nasiba Zeynalova, to attend a rehearsal because she was late.

"I said: 'Nasiba khanum, due to your lateness, your scene will be performed tomorrow.' However, she scolded me severely for this action. 'Where did you get such courage?' she asked. I replied: 'From you.' She was very upset," shared the actor.

J. Novruzov also spoke about the reasons for his departure from Azerbaijan.

"I left the country to buy medicine for Nasiba khanum. After all, it was impossible to provide a normal life on a theater salary," he emphasized.
