Zelensky: Ukraine will do everything possible to end the war before winter comes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv intends to do everything possible to ensure the Russian-Ukrainian war ends before the winter of 2026 begins.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Ukrainian media, he made this statement during a meeting with Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv.

According to Zelensky, the task of Ukrainian diplomacy is to provide maximum support for the government's foreign policy course and to strengthen cooperation with international partners.

At the same time, he noted that it is impossible to predict exactly when all diplomatic efforts, Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russia, and restrictive measures by allies will take effect. However, according to Zelensky, the pressure must reach a level at which Moscow "will have no other alternative but peace."

According to Zelensky, Ukraine will make every effort to end the war this autumn, before the onset of winter. At the same time, he noted that Kyiv understands Moscow's intention to drag out the conflict, prepare a new mobilization, and carry out new strikes.
