Zelensky stated that he wishes to meet with Putin for the sake of peace

To achieve peace in Ukraine, a meeting between Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin is needed. This was stated by Zelensky himself, reports "Insider UA".
"We need a meeting of leaders if we want to achieve peace," he noted.
Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with global media during SPIEF, stated that Moscow is ready for negotiations with Ukraine on the terms agreed in Istanbul in 2022. He urged Kyiv not to delay dialogue, noting that procrastination could worsen Ukraine's position. Negotiations, according to him, are possible after June 22.
Putin recalled that in June 2022, preliminary agreements were reached in Istanbul, which provided for the exchange of prisoners. He emphasized Russia's readiness to continue negotiations on the same principles, suggesting to "sit down and negotiate".
