Ukraine is ready to ensure gas purchases worth about $2 billion from different countries, including Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Ukrinform", this was stated by the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"We can also take additional gas from Greece, we have agreed with Prime Minister [of Greece] Kyriakos Mitsotakis. There is understanding with other countries, there are agreements. With Azerbaijan as well. Everyone is working on this... The gas issue will be resolved," he noted.

According to the politician, in a very difficult situation, Ukraine should be ready to find gas for this amount, and part of the tranche will be provided by Norway - a grant of $100 million. It will allocate another tranche in January.

"Several other countries are providing relevant grants. There is an agreement with our banks, that is, an understanding of where to get the money. And there is an understanding of where to get the gas," he said.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko "has appropriate positive agreements" with Slovakia, and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk has agreements with US energy companies.

The President also noted that there are agreements on the supply of liquefied natural gas from the United States. According to him, American gas can be supplied to Ukraine through the Polish terminal if Kyiv decides to purchase it.
