President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky gathered the country's top military leadership to discuss strategies for countering Russian strikes.

As reported by RBC, the head of state announced this in his evening address to the nation.

The meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

"The issue of planning our actions, our readiness to respond to Russian strikes, to their threats, as well as to act preventively, and this means increasing the production of our drones, our missiles. I am grateful to everyone who works specifically for this purpose. Already hundreds of Ukrainian companies are delivering results for Ukraine's Defense Forces, and there will be more - I am sure of this," Zelensky emphasized.

The President noted the active involvement of entrepreneurs in weapons production. Ukraine is also negotiating with European partners to attract investments in the domestic defense industry.

Special attention is being paid to the development of unmanned systems and long-range weapons, which allow for controlling the situation at the front, preserving the lives of military personnel, and striking at significant distances.

"Of course, publicly we cannot talk about existing plans, about our capabilities, but the perspective is clear - to mirror-respond to all Russian threats and challenges. They there, in Russia, should clearly feel the consequences of what they are doing against Ukraine. And this will happen. Strike drones, interceptors, cruise missiles, Ukrainian ballistics - these are the key elements," the president stated.
