Negotiations between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin may take place in Turkey.

The Ukrainian leader stated this in his evening address.

According to him, Persian Gulf countries or European nations are also being considered as potential venues for the meeting.

"There will be contacts with Turkey this week, there will be contacts with Gulf countries, with European countries that could serve as platforms for talks with the Russians," said Zelensky. "From our side, everything will be maximally prepared to end the war. It's important that partners confirm this."

He added that Ukraine is ready to end the war and is making maximum efforts to prepare for dialogue. However, in Zelensky's opinion, the key factor remains the position of world leaders, especially the United States, whose will could be decisive in putting pressure on Russia and starting a real peace process.
