Woman from China sold her children to support streamers

In China, a mother sold her two sons for more than $11,600 and spent the money on donations to streamers and buying clothes. This was reported by the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
According to the information, 26-year-old Huang was previously an adopted daughter who left home early due to lack of care. Additionally, the girl only had a primary school education. In October 2020, she gave birth to her first son and due to financial problems sold him to a woman for $6,300. Huang spent all the money on gifts and donations to streamers.
When the money ran out, she decided to become a mother again for the purpose of selling. In 2022, she gave birth to a second son, whom she sold for $5,300. The girl again spent the proceeds on donations and clothes.
The boys were taken away from their new "owners" and placed under guardianship. Huang herself was sentenced to five years and two months in prison for fraud and human trafficking.
