Vučić: Serbian diplomats will be evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan

The Serbian Embassy in Tehran was not a direct target of the strike, but the building sustained damage from falling debris.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

"The target of one of the strikes was a Basij base. The debris damaged our embassy. As for our people in Iran, today our staff will be evacuated in the direction of Azerbaijan," the Serbian leader noted, specifying that the Serbian ambassador will temporarily head to Azerbaijan but will later return to Tehran.

Vučić added that the largest number of Serbian citizens in the region are in the UAE and will be evacuated at the earliest opportunity.
