Vladimir Putin dismissed the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin relieved Army General Oleg Salyukov from the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decree was published on the legal information portal.
According to the document, Salyukov has been appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia.
Who will become the Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces has not yet been officially announced.
Oleg Salyukov had headed the Russian Land Forces since 2014. He commanded the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory on May 9, 2025.
