Trump: US Ready to Use Best of Weapons If Iran Deal Falls Through
US President Donald Trump announced the strengthening of military readiness amid tensions surrounding Iran and did not rule out the use of force if negotiations fail.
He said this in an interview with The New York Post.
According to him, American warships are being equipped with "the best weapons ever created."
"We are loading ships with the best weapons ever created … And if the deal doesn't happen, we will use them, and we will use them very effectively," Trump emphasized.
He noted that within the next 24 hours it would become clear whether the negotiations with Iran would be successful. "We'll find out in about 24 hours. We'll find out soon," he stated.
It should be recalled that on February 28, the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran and carried out airstrikes on several cities. On the same day, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of the strikes. In response, Iran launched missile strikes on Israeli territory and attacked American military bases in Persian Gulf countries.
Iran, the US, and their allies reached a two-week ceasefire agreement on the night of April 8, 2026. US-Iran negotiations are scheduled to take place on April 11 in Pakistan.
