Trump stated that a deal between the US and Iran is still possible

Concluding a peace deal between the US and Iran is still possible, despite both sides resuming hostilities.

This was stated by American President Donald Trump to journalists at a cabinet meeting at the Camp David residence.

When asked whether "a deal with Iran can be reached," despite everything currently happening in the Middle East and Trump's own statements on the matter, he said: "Yes, it can."

The American leader also added that Iran had recently launched a missile strike against American forces in Jordan in the midst of negotiations.

"I'm losing faith in them (Iran - ed.), because they lie and distort (information about the course of the conflict and negotiations between the sides - ed.). You know, we want to win. Things are going very well for us," Trump added.
