Former US President Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin, current White House head Joe Biden, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are responsible for the start of hostilities in Ukraine.

This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to C-SPAN.

In response to a question about the recent strike on Sumy, which he had previously called a "mistake," Trump explained that the real mistake was allowing the war itself to happen. He expressed confidence that under his administration, the conflict could have been avoided, and Biden, in his opinion, could have prevented the escalation by stabilizing oil prices.

"Biden could have stopped this, Zelensky too, and Putin should not have started it. Everyone is to blame," Trump noted. He added that Washington has made some progress in diplomatic efforts and expressed hope for "good proposals" to appear soon.

Trump also commented on Zelensky's statement about the intention to purchase ten Patriot air defense systems from the US for $15 billion with European support. "If you start a war, you should be sure that you can win. You can't enter into a conflict with an opponent who is 20 times stronger, hoping for help in the form of missiles," he emphasized.

On his social network Truth Social, Trump previously called the conflict "Biden's war," noting that during his presidency, such problems did not arise. He called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, emphasizing the importance of saving lives.
