Trump intends to patrol Washington streets at night with police

In the Baku Military Court, presided over by Judge Bilal Mamedov, a hearing was held in the case of the former head of the financial service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Namik Mirzoyev, accused of misappropriation of state funds on an especially large scale.
According to the case materials, while holding the position of head of the financial service and other posts in military units subordinate to the Ministry of Defense, Mirzoyev misappropriated funds allocated to military personnel and for the needs of the units. In particular, this concerns large sums in the military units of Goranboy and Kalbajar, which, according to the investigation, he stole by entering false information in financial documents.
The total amount of embezzlement indicated in the accusation exceeds 6 million manats. However, Mirzoyev has reimbursed only 43,800 manats to the budget.
At the hearing, Mirzoyev partially admitted guilt:
"The amounts reflected in the investigation materials were calculated by the inspectors. I agree with the amount for the first military unit and only partially for the second," he stated.
Responding to the prosecutor's question about the expenditure of funds, Mirzoyev reported that he spent them on personal needs, while he has no property to compensate for the damage. He referred to health problems and an upcoming operation, explaining the small amount of compensation, and promised to return the remaining part of the sum.
The session concluded with the questioning of witnesses. The next hearing is scheduled for August 27, with four more witnesses summoned to it.
