Trump distanced himself from the conflict in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump stated that the conflict in Ukraine does not have a direct impact on the United States, however Washington is ready to take steps to resolve it. He announced this at the White House, CNN reports.
"We are trying to help. This is not our war: not our people, not our soldiers - this is Ukraine and Russia's business," Trump noted.
He emphasized that the US is making efforts to facilitate a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the two countries.
Additionally, the American president recalled a recent conversation with Vladimir Putin, during which, according to him, significant progress was made.
