Trump convenes emergency meeting on Iran at the White House

US President Donald Trump convenes an emergency meeting on Iran.

According to Axios, citing three American officials, the American leader will hold an urgent meeting today in the White House Situation Room.

A high-level national security and foreign policy team will participate in the session.

The discussion will focus on the deadlock and stalemate in Washington-Tehran negotiations, possible next steps by the United States, as well as scenarios for how the situation may develop, including diplomatic and military options.

One of the officials noted that the White House is considering several courses of action simultaneously — both diplomatic and military.
