Trump and Putin held a phone conversation

US President Donald Trump reported on the social network Truth Social that he had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, the conversation lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. The leaders discussed recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian airfields, as well as other strikes carried out by both sides of the conflict.

"It was a good conversation, but not one that will lead to immediate peace. President Putin stated - and quite firmly - that Russia intends to respond to the recent strikes on airfields," Trump noted.
