The winners of the "Oscar 2026" award have been announced

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the host was American comedian, TV host, and screenwriter Conan O'Brien. The statuette for Best Picture this year went to "Battle for Battle" by Paul Thomas Anderson. In total, the American director's film took home statuettes in six categories.

This year, the award in the "Best Casting" category was presented for the first time. In the "Best Live Action Short Film" category, two awards were given at once. The last tie at the Oscars was in 2013 — in the "Best Sound Editing" category, when "Skyfall" and "Zero Dark Thirty" both won.
