The White House launched an official TikTok account

The White House official account has appeared on the social network TikTok, reports Reuters,
The @whitehouse account was launched on August 19 in the evening Eastern Time (overnight into Wednesday).
The first publication was a 27-second video dedicated to the achievements of US President Donald Trump, with the caption "America, we're back! How's it going, TikTok?", in which the American leader says: "Every day I wake up determined to deliver a better life for people across this country. I am your voice." According to Newsweek magazine, the publication gained more than 7,500 likes and 500 comments within the first hour. By the morning of August 20, more than 63,500 people had subscribed to the White House account, and the three videos published by that time had gained more than 102,100 likes. The first video collected 44,500 likes and 12,600 comments.
"The Trump administration is committed to bringing information about the president's historic successes to the American people using as many platforms as possible," White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said during a live broadcast on the platform dedicated to the account's opening. Reuters reminds that the Republican actively used the social network during his election campaign. His TikTok page @realdonaldtrump has gained more than 15 million subscribers.
