The White House has refuted rumors about conditions for Kyiv regarding security guarantees from the USA
The White House has officially denied the Financial Times report claiming that the US is demanding Ukraine to give up territorial claims as a condition for providing security guarantees.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to FT, this was stated by US administration deputy press secretary Anna Kelly.
"This is absolutely false. The only role of the US in the peace process is to bring both sides together to reach a deal. It's unfortunate that the Financial Times allows malicious actors to lie anonymously," Kelly stated.
FT wrote that the United States made it a condition for providing Ukraine with security guarantees to conclude a peace agreement, which would likely include territorial concessions. According to the publication, the administration of US President Donald Trump has made it clear to Kyiv that guarantees are possible only if it first agrees to a deal.
