The President of Iran has arrived in Armenia on an official visit
President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Armenia on an official visit.
As BAKU.WS reports, this is according to Armenian media.
His visit will last two days.
This is his first visit to Armenia as the President of Iran.
Vice Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met Pezeshkian at the "Zvartnots" airport in the capital.
Before departure, the President of Iran stated that the key topic of his visit to Yerevan will be the discussion of the "North-South" transport corridor. He also noted that the "East-West" route could become an important platform for trade.
Pezeshkian emphasized that the development of cooperation with Armenia in energy, transport, investment, healthcare, and tourism will also be considered.
It was previously reported that an Armenian-Iranian business forum with his participation will be held on August 19. From Armenia, Pezeshkian will travel to Belarus.
