The Netherlands pointed out the impossibility of Ukraine joining NATO
Ukraine has no prospects of joining NATO in the near future.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans in an interview with CNBC.
"To be realistic, Ukraine will not become a NATO member in the short term," said Brekelmans.
At the same time, he noted that the Netherlands would be happy to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a guest at the upcoming NATO summit on June 24-25 in The Hague.
No Ukraine-NATO meeting is planned as part of the summit. However, the alliance will hold a defense forum meeting that Zelensky will be able to attend.
