Initially, the organizers reported that Magee would not participate in the competition due to personal circumstances. However, later the beauty queen herself revealed the true reason for her decision – systematic humiliation and disrespectful treatment from the contest organizers that participants face.

The decisive moment for Magee was an event where contestants were seated at tables with middle-aged men – sponsors of "Miss World." The young women were expected to entertain these men throughout the evening. "Because of this, I felt like a prostitute," Milla Magee frankly admitted.

It is worth noting that "Miss World" is the oldest of the "big four" international beauty pageants, which also include "Miss Universe," "Miss Earth," and "Miss International." The first competition was held in the United Kingdom in 1951.

The final of the current "Miss World" competition is scheduled for May 31 and will take place in India.
