Famous French actress Brigitte Bardot has died at the age of 91, she was called one of the brightest stars of French and world cinema of the 20th century.

Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot was born on September 28, 1934, in Paris to the family of Anne-Marie and Louis Bardot. She started dancing at the age of seven, at 13 she studied at the Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance, and at 14 she debuted as a model, appearing in the famous Elle magazine.
The actress made her film debut in "The Normandy Hole" directed by Jean Boyer (1952), and worldwide popularity came to her through roles in films "And God Created Woman" and "Babette Goes to War". Starting in the 1970s, Bardot actively advocated for animal rights, founding and heading the charitable organization "The Brigitte Bardot Foundation", dedicated to the protection of defenseless animals.
