The date for the first summit between Armenia and the European Union has been announced
The first Armenia - European Union summit will be held on May 5, 2026 in Yerevan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Armenpress", this was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the information from the foreign policy department, "high-ranking EU representatives will arrive in Armenia to participate in the summit: President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen".
Armenian parliament deputies on March 26 during the second and final reading adopted a law on initiating the process of the republic's accession to the EU. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan noted that this would not automatically launch the process of Yerevan's accession to the community, as this issue requires submission to a referendum.
