The Best Father Frost of Russia Has Died
Actor and director, best Father Frost of Russia Alexander Skavysh has passed away at the age of 55.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the "Free Theater" of the city of Uray (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra).
In a conversation with aif.ru, his acquaintance Vyacheslav Kazantsev clarified that the actor's death was sudden.
"He worked a lot, made plans. And he simply didn't wake up," he said, adding that the artist's loved ones are not revealing the circumstances of his death.
It is known that earlier Skavysh had heart problems, a few years ago he underwent surgery, after which he successfully recovered and continued to work.
Alexander Skavysh was involved in almost the entire repertoire of the "Free Theater," performed in productions of "Life is Beautiful," "The Threepenny Opera," "Scarlet Sails," and recent premieres "Suri Bird" and "The Trap." He was also the director of the school theater "Entrée."
For 30 years, the actor created the image of Father Frost and was awarded the honorary title of winner of the All-Russian Congress of Father Frosts. A special place in the actor's creative biography was held by the All-Russian Congress of Father Frosts in Khanty-Mansiysk. There he became the Grand Prix winner and was named the best Father Frost of Russia in 2014 and 2019.
