The Élysée Palace responded to the video of Macron hiding a "suspicious package"

The mysterious object that French President Emmanuel Macron hastily removed from the table when journalists appeared turned out to be just an ordinary napkin. The French presidential administration issued an official denial on its official page on the social network X.
"When European unity becomes uncomfortable, disinformation goes so far that a simple napkin looks like drugs," says the message from the Élysée Palace.
The publication specifically notes that such "fake news" is actively spread by ill-wishers of France both abroad and within the state.
Earlier, internet users actively discussed a video recording in which the French leader demonstrates unusual behavior - when press representatives and cameras appeared, Macron rapidly removed some object from the table, which caused wild speculation on the internet.
