Steve Bannon reveals the reasons for the conflict between Musk and Trump

Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's former strategist, revealed the reasons for the breakdown in relations between Elon Musk and the White House. According to him, the conflict began due to Musk's attempts to gain access to the Pentagon's secret military plans related to a hypothetical war with China. Bannon called the Tesla CEO an elitist outsider who is interfering in the MAGA political movement, which was built from scratch.
His words are reported by the Daily Mail.
As S. Bannon explained, the situation changed when D. Trump refused to show E. Musk secret documents. This became a turning point in their relationship. The President refuted rumors that E. Musk was given access to military plans, and emphasized that such data cannot be shown to a businessman connected to China through his companies Tesla and SpaceX.
The American leader noted that E. Musk's visit to the Pentagon was related to expense verification, not military secrets. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth added that rumors about E. Musk's access to documents were spread to undermine his reputation.
Meanwhile, S. Bannon, known for his populist views, sharply criticized E. Musk, calling him a "globalist" and a "parasite." He expressed concern that Musk could influence the future of MAGA. Despite this, D. Trump tried to reconcile the parties, but a meeting between them never took place. Tensions peaked at the CPAC conference, where both received ovations, but S. Bannon reminded that the MAGA movement is more important than individuals.
E. Musk rarely responded to attacks, but once called S. Bannon a "talker incapable of real action." S. Bannon, however, insists that he considers the fight against E. Musk a matter of ideology, not personal enmity.
