Prince Harry plans to meet with his father, King Charles III, for the first time in 20 months.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Daily Mirror, the younger son of the monarch, who is suffering from cancer, will arrive in the UK from the USA on September 8 - the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death. King Charles III has no foreign visits planned until the end of September. The last meeting between the king and Prince Harry took place in February 2024.

"Obviously, both sides are interested in meeting. No one claims that the large-scale family disagreements have been resolved, but it needs to start with Charles and Harry," noted a source from the publication.

According to him, the desire to mend relations is sincere on both sides, and Harry's team has established working contacts with representatives of Buckingham Palace. "This is not about public gestures or official events, but about a simple conversation between father and son," the insider added.

Meanwhile, it is claimed that Prince William is not yet considering the possibility of reconciliation with his brother.

In August, Parade magazine, citing a source in Buckingham Palace, reported a serious deterioration in Charles III's health, which could push Harry and William toward reconciliation.

Earlier it became known that on July 9, secret negotiations took place in London between representatives of Charles III and Prince Harry. The meeting was held at the Royal Overseas League building.
