According to the media, the flaring fire caused panic and serious concerns about the possible loss of a valuable cultural site. The ancient temple, known for its centuries-old Buddhist architecture and spiritual significance, was damaged by flames that engulfed a multi-story pavilion on its grounds.
Footage appeared on social media showing thick plumes of smoke and intense fire - the flames rapidly destroyed the richly decorated wooden roofs of the complex. As noted in the publication, local authorities reported that the fire was contained, and there were no casualties.
According to preliminary data, the fire started in a replica building located on the temple grounds, which was made in the ancient style.
