In the coming days, Poland will deploy about 40,000 military personnel to the border with Russia and Belarus.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the republic, Cezary Tomczyk, in an interview with Polsat News TV channel.

"Poland has been preparing for the 'West-2025' maneuvers for several months. More than 30,000 Polish soldiers participated in the exercises, as well as NATO troops, to adequately respond to the 'West-2025' activities," Tomczyk said.

Earlier, Polish military reported a violation of the country's airspace, which Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described as "a huge number of Russian drones."

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that strikes were carried out exclusively on targets in Ukraine, and there were no plans to hit objects in Poland. The Russian embassy called Warsaw's accusations groundless.
