Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a campaign rally in Vanadzor, accused parliamentary candidate from the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Andranik Tevanyan of treason.

This was reported by TASS.

"You know that there is a person listed as №2 on the PAP list by the name of Andranik Tevanyan," the prime minister said. "Tomorrow the National Security Service will, in accordance with established procedure, send a crime report to the Investigative Committee, expecting that a criminal case will be opened against Tevanyan under the article on treason." Pashinyan also claimed that a spy network is operating in Armenia, which the authorities intend to deal with.

Earlier, the head of the Armenian government announced that the state would nationalize a factory belonging to PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan. According to him, a temporary administrator would be appointed at the enterprise, as had previously been done with the company Electric Networks of Armenia, owned by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan.

Following Pashinyan's statement, the prosecutor's office reported the discovery of violations during the privatization of the factory. It was noted that a criminal case had been opened on the matter, and the prosecutor had filed a request with the government to appoint a temporary administrator at the enterprise.
