Off the coast of Turkey, a tanker coming from Russia was attacked
Tanker Midvolga 2, en route from Russia to Georgia with a cargo of sunflower oil, was attacked 80 miles off the Turkish coast.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the republic.
"The tanker Midvolga 2 reported that it was attacked 80 miles from our shores. Currently, the 13 crew members of the vessel have no health problems, and it is not requesting assistance. The vessel, with engines operational, is proceeding toward Sinop," - the ministry's statement says.
According to open sources, the 140-meter vessel Midvolga 2 (IMO 9735139, MMSI 273376900) was built in 2014 and sails under the Russian flag. Its home port is the Great Port of St. Petersburg. The owner is the Middle Volga Shipping Company (Moscow city).
