Musk stated that Western countries are on the path to extinction

Elon Musk pointed to the demographic crisis in European Union countries and warned about the risk of extinction of Western nations' populations.

"In 21 of 27 EU countries, deaths exceed births," Musk wrote on X.

"They [Western countries] are on a path to extinction," he also stated.

Musk was reacting to UN fertility statistics for the world's largest economies, including the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, France, Germany, the United States, and Japan, which demonstrate a steady decline in birth rates since 1950.
