Mojtaba Khamenei: a real leader or a symbol of legitimacy?

Mojtaba Khamenei was introduced as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) in early March of this year. Approximately five months have passed since his appointment. Since then, only written statements have been distributed in his name. There are no new photographs of him, nor any video recordings featuring him. At the same time, his addresses and decrees are being published. But the leader himself is not seen, and his voice is not heard.

This is stated in a report by the YouTube channel Azad İran.

"There is not even evidence that Mojtaba Khamenei can speak, make decisions, or that the texts published in his name were actually issued by him. Back in April, Reuters, citing three people from his inner circle, reported that Khamenei's face was disfigured as a result of the February 28 attack, and one or both legs suffered serious injuries.

In another report, citing data from four Iranian officials, it was stated that he had severe burns to his face and lips, had difficulty speaking, and had undergone several surgeries on one leg. However, the official version was more mild. The question arises: Is Mojtaba Khamenei a real leader or a symbol of legitimacy?" the report states.
