Mohammed bin Salman promised Trump to increase investments in the US to $1 trillion
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, during a meeting with US President Donald Trump, announced the kingdom's intention to increase its investment in the American economy from $600 billion to $1 trillion.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, he affirmatively answered Trump's clarifying question about whether Riyadh would indeed increase investments in the US to $1 trillion.
"Mr. President, I am confident that today and tomorrow we will announce our intention to increase these $600 billion to almost $1 trillion in investments, real investments," said the Saudi Crown Prince at the White House.
Trump, in turn, stated that investments in the American economy by the end of the year will total around $21 trillion overall. Additionally, the head of the White House expressed the opinion that as a result of his efforts, fuel prices in the US will continue to decrease. "I think you will see gasoline at a price of $2 [per gallon, which is 3.78 liters]," the president claimed.
Note that a gallon of gasoline in the US costs about $3.
