Media: US will allow Iran to immediately resume oil exports
The agreement between the US and Iran provides for the possibility of immediate resumption of Iranian oil exports.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal, this was revealed by sources familiar with the terms of the deal.
According to them, the US will allow Iran to immediately begin selling oil and fuel, which will serve as a financial incentive for Tehran to expedite the end of the conflict.
The publication notes that the agreement also provides for the easing of banking and transportation restrictions, which should simplify international transactions and become one of the first tangible economic effects.
The provisions lifting sanctions on oil sales take effect immediately upon the signing of the agreement this week.
Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that an agreement had been reached between the US and Iran. According to him, the document is planned to be signed on June 19 in Switzerland, and the parties have already agreed on an immediate cessation of military operations.
