Media revealed who Trump considers the winner in the war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump is confident that Russia's victory in the Ukrainian conflict is only a matter of time. This is reported by Politico with reference to sources in the White House.

"According to the president, Russia will ultimately prevail. It's just a question of timing," the publication quotes one of its interlocutors.

At the same time, according to information from two other high-ranking officials, the measures against Moscow recently announced by Trump were a reaction to what he considers complete disregard from the Kremlin for his peace settlement initiatives.

The day before, Trump stated that he would impose harsh trade tariffs on Russian goods if an agreement on Ukraine is not reached within 50 days. In addition, he announced that NATO countries will purchase American weapons worth billions of dollars with subsequent transfer of these armaments to Kyiv. In particular, this involves 17 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems that should be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
