Media: IRGC conducted a combat operation in the area of the Strait of Hormuz

Two explosions occurred on the Iranian island of Qeshm during an operation by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, the elite branch of Iran's Armed Forces) to neutralize the enemy in the Strait of Hormuz area.

As reported by Oxu.Az, this was announced by the Tasnim agency citing sources.

"The cause of the two explosions that were heard on Qeshm Island was an operation to neutralize enemy targets in the area of the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz," the statement said.

According to the information, the explosions occurred at approximately 23:10 Baku time.

Sources added that the results of the military operation would be published in the coming hours.
