Media: Iran has not terminated dialogue with the US, but merely suspended it
Iranian authorities have notified Pakistan, which serves as a mediator in contacts between Tehran and Washington, that Iran has not ceased communication with U.S. representatives but has only suspended the negotiation process.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Al-Hadath television channel.
According to its sources, Iran informed Pakistani authorities that it has not withdrawn from negotiations but has suspended them.
Tehran also notified Islamabad that negotiations must continue in accordance with the memorandum of understanding previously reached between the parties.
The same sources indicated that Iran insists on initially resuming negotiations on issues related to the Strait of Hormuz, then on the unfreezing of frozen Iranian assets, and subsequently on resolving the nuclear issue.
