Media: In the first days of the conflict with Iran, the US lost nearly $2 billion worth of equipment

Since the beginning of the military operation against Iran, the US has lost military equipment worth nearly $2 billion.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Turkish agency Anadolu citing reports and satellite imagery.

According to the agency, Iran inflicted a total of approximately $1.902 billion in damages on the US. The American side lost three F-15E fighter jets in Kuwait, with their replacement cost estimated at approximately $282 million. Iranian armed forces also struck a THAAD anti-missile system at a facility in the UAE, Anadolu notes. The damage is estimated at $500 million.

The largest loss for the American side was a radar system valued at $1.1 billion, located at a base in Qatar, the agency writes. According to its data, the system was hit on the first day of the conflict. Iran also attacked the support center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain — reportedly destroying two satellite communication terminals and several buildings.

On February 28, Israel and the US launched missile strikes against Iran. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American military bases in the region.
